quin1You will begin your adventure in San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital and largest city, spending one night to rest up after your flight. Your travels will truly begin in the “Amazon of Costa Rica,” spending two nights in Tortuguero, host to an incredible biodiversity of wildlife and animal species native to Costa Rica and the Americas. Home to Tortuguero National Park, Tortuguero is a popular Ecotourism destination to explore the rainforest canals, watquin2ch sea turtles nest, and see wildlife.
Next you will travel to La Fortuna, spending four nights at the adventure capital of the Costa Rica and home to Volcano Arenal. La Fortuna was voted by TripAdvisor as one of the “Top Ten Emerging Destinations of 2013.” You’ll quickly find out why – with beautiful hot springs and an abundance of tours including whitewater rafting, ziplining, horseback riding, and volcano hikes, you will be sure to get more than your fair share of Costa Rican adventure during your time in La Fortuna.

Enjoy the last four nights of your trip in the paradise of Manuel Antonio. Manuel Antonio contains a charming combination of rainforest, beaches, and coral reefs. These beaches are some of the most beautiful in the country, lined with lush forest, and the snorkeling is excellent, too! The forest is home to sloths, iguanas, the rare and adorable squirrel monkeys, and millions of colorful little crabs. Whether you are looking for total relaxation, more adventure, or a bit of both, Manuel Antonio offers each with ease.

Rise and shine! Shuttle transportation will pick you up bright and early to begin your three-hour drive to Tortuguero. You will be staying at Laguna Lodge, a rain forest ecotourism lodge that offers an extra touch in style, comfort, and personalized service. Upon arrival, enjoy a tour of their botanical Garden and enjoy the exclusive use of their frog garden, pools, bars and Caribbean beachfront. From June to October, you can also witness the green turtle spawning, a huge attraction for tourist around the world.
Enjoy a morning tour throughout the Tortuguero National Park Canals and witness the exuberance of the tropical rainforest. Later on, visit cozy Tortuguero village to check out souvenirs and local eateries. Go on a guided boat or kayak tour within the canals to see unique wildlife, check out the sea turtles at Tortuguero National Park, hike through the rainforest, or go birdwatching! Relax and enjoy.



Private transportation will pick you up from Laguna Lodge to begin your five-hour journey to La Fortuna, the adventure capital of Costa Rica. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful scenery – you will notice a definite difference in the landscape! You will be staying at Volcano Lodge, a beautiful hotel that sits at the foot of the majestic Arenal Volcano offering a number of amenities including four swimming pools, two Jacuzzis, and a restaurant.

There will be no dull moments as you raft on the Class III/IV Rio Sarapiqui.  This river winds through dense tropical wilderness and is fed by waters flowing from the Poas volcano. Your tour will begin with a one hour, scenic drive from La Fortuna to Rio Toro, and upon arrival you will be outfitted with gear and given a safety orientation. This daylong tour includes a stop to enjoy locally grown fresh organic fruits as well as an authentic Costa Rican lunch.

Visit the Arenal Volcano National Park and see the majestic Volcano Arenal up close and personal during this hiking tour. Observe a great variety of plants, wildlife, and magnificent lava rock formations while experienced guides provide interesting and educational information regarding the history of the volcano and national park. The tour concludes with an optional relaxing stop at the mineral hot springs.

DAY SEVEN For your last day in La Fortuna, choose from a day of waterfall rappelling, participate in an authentic Costa Rica cooking class, or visit to the La Fortuna waterfall by horseback or ATV’s. It’s up to you!


Rise and shine! Get ready for your JEEP-BOAT-JEEP venture from La Fortuna to Monteverde. You will be picked up at 8:30AM from your hotel by jeep and driven to Lake Arenal, where you will then board a boat to journey across the lake. After crossing Lake Arenal, you will be picked up by jeep and taken to Monteverde, home to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Upon arrival, you will settle into Hotel & Spa Poco a Poco, a cozy boutique hotel that offers luxury amenities with eco-friendly, sustainable practices.



Get your heart pounding by taking a zip line ride through the cloud forest canopy. You’ll whizz along 1.7 miles of cables slung between towering tropical trees! To get to the zip line, you’ll ride the Sky Tram, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Monteverde hills and Nicoya gulf.

quin15After your ziplining adventure, get ready to explore the rainforest at a slower pace on a nature hike and hanging bridges. Constructed within the cloud forest, these trails and suspension bridges allow for a more tranquil introduction of the flora and fauna of the forest canopy with a naturalist guide. It also gives you the opportunity to see wildlife up close and personal, like monkeys, snakes, insects, and more. There are five bridges in total, the longest of which spans around 984 feet. The trails extend for slightly over a mile and a half (2.5 km), making this tour extremely feasible for anyone in moderate shape.

Finally, you will be taken to Santa Elena for a visit to the Herpetarium to learn about Costa Rica’s amphibians and reptiles.  The facilities are ample and modern and offer a cozy, extensive atmosphere and adapted temperature for the animals. You can appreciate over 40 species including venomous and non-venomous snakes, poisonous frogs, toads, lizards and turtles.


The perfect tour for coffee drinkers and coffee lovers alike, this tour brings you into the wonderful world of coffee and the history of Costa Rican coffee. Enjoy a beautiful walk on the Don Juan Coffee Plantation accompanied by a bilingual guide, and learn about the entire coffee production process from planting to brewing. Afterwards visit the Coffee House and try a delicious cup of coffee white admiring the beautiful scenery of the farm and the Gulf of Nicoya.

quin18Later, become immersed within the world of chocolate enjoying its delicious aromas and learning about its history.  You will participate in the chocolate making process and have the opportunity to taste the fruit of the cacao and observe how the small cocoa beans are magically converted into a rich tasting chocolate drink. At the end of the tour you can enjoy the taste of the chocolate you’ve made in a variety of forms: liquid chocolate, plain chocolate, spiced chocolate and of course, coffee chocolate.

Welcome aboard! Explore the Manuel Antonio Marine Preserve and watch dolphins, sea turtles, whales, and birds in their natural habitat.
